Ikhaya Loxolo update June 2014

Thanks to another BMR donation the farm has been able to afford regional coworkers which will be constantly salaried. These will be working as farmers and gardeners to prepare, plant, water, weed, mulch, extend, harvest, etc. the presently 650 square meters of drip irrigated gardens in a rotating system.

In the picture you can also see the night watch man’s rondavel.

But there is much more going on: cows have been purchased, goats and sheep will follow. Having done so, the region will be offered more dairy products in the near future. Moreover, a stove and a wendy house have been afforded.

Since running costs for working power and use and wearout of machines are a continuously distressing factor, the association is thankful for all constant donations.
